7 Subject Science Portfolio Minecraft The Real World Ages 10 to 17 Biology Chemistry Geology Meteorology Physics Technology and Zoology with The Thinking Tree Research Guide Sarah Janisse Brown Isaac Joshua Brown The Thinking Tree LLC Tolik Trishkin 9781548785208 Books Reviews
- This books is amazing. I am always excited for books , but when my children are excited then you know it is something special!
We will use this book over a two year period because my children are 6&7 so we want to use this for our science alongside our co-op.
I also want to say you do not need to homeschool to use this book, you can use it alongside the child's school
Or even with their current science class! - This is a wonderful book. My kids love it. It is very detailed and encourages children to research and learn about the different branches of science. It adds a wonderful Minecraft element that makes this book feel fun instead of being just another workbook to trudge through. It is thorough and well planned out. I particularly love that at the end of each section it teaches kids about the different career paths for each branch of science. It allowed my children to understand how to relate the science they learned about to real life careers. I highly recommend this for anyone.
- Was looking for science books for my 13 yr old, who also loves Minecraft. Was hopeful this would have some projects to do in Minecraft to demonstrate various science functions. Nope. It's basically a home-school workbook. Fill-in-the-blank pages. Meh. Neither of us are thrilled. Probably will sit on a shelf until it goes to Goodwill. Win some, lose some.
- This book allows your kids the freedom to explore science in a way that is meaningful for them. It covers seven main branches of science, with some direction and many open pages for the child to record from "living books" about the subjects. I bought it for my dyslexic, science loving 9 year old, but she needs a few more writing skills before she can jump in (She has gone from barely being able to read Bob books, to chapter books this year after using Dyslexia Games, also by this author, and her reversals have improved greatly but she is still gaining a memory bank of words that would make this book easier for her to do a bit more independently).
- This science journal.qas one of the first we used in our journey to funschooling. I have 3 teens using it. They are learning so much about these subjects & are having fun doing it. We needed something more enjoyable & this was it! All you need are library books to go with it &you are all set!
- FANTASTIC BOOK!!!!! My middle school boys couldn't wait for school to start, so they started working in it this summer.
The sections are just long enough to keep their interest, but still get a nice, thorough study of each branch of science. - My 13 year old Minecraft-phile loves this book. She has worked through the first Thinking Tree Do It Yourself Minecraft book and already enjoys this one more.
- We love Thinking tree journals! This is a perfect journal to review several areas in Science. This journal is perfect for kids\ teens whom love Minecraft and science. We use these journals with my daughter who has Dyslexia, they help get her excited about school. This journal was perfect for us to keep a portpholio for science.
